Fisherman's Wharf

Fisherman's Wharf - Pier 39

Pier 39 is a popular tourist spot with unique stores, restaurants, video arcade, Mammal Center and Aquarium.

I was tempted to get another tattoo.

A view of the city from the Pier.

The famous San Francisco Sea Lions. After the earthquake of 1989 the Sea Lions began "Hauling Out" onto the docks and eventually took over the K-docks. It's suspected they felt safer there after the Earthquake.

California Sea Lions are known for their intelligence, playfulness and noisy barking.

Hyde St. Pier - a historic ferry pier located on the Northern waterfront of San Francisco.

You can see some Sea Lions swimming in the waters around the pier.

You can also see Alcatraz Island from Hyde Street Pier.

Ghirardelli Square  Domingo Ghirardelli heard about the Gold Rush and sailed to California to sell supplies and confections to miners. He eventually started the chocolate factory at the Ghirardelli Square site.
