My Journey to the West Coast

Baltimore Washington International Airport at 5 pm waiting for the boarding to begin. I am so excited to be heading to the West Coast for a long awaited trip with my husband and no kids.

Gate C 33 to San Francisco (Captain Obvious)

Still waiting to board the Boeing 737 bound for Northern California. My first time back since I was in high school.

I was the last to board the plane. Thankfully my husband has the Southwest business select priority boarding plan. He was the first on the plane and is hopefully saving me a seat.

Departing at 6pm and arriving in San Francisco at 11pm. Eight hours later. You figure out the math.

My husband saved me a seat right up front with him.  I had the middle seat. That was okay because it was dark and there is nothing to see until we get to Denver. Once in Denver we swapped and I got the window. I was like a kid in a candy store as we flew over the Rocky Mountains and the Sierra Nevada's. It was breathtaking even at night.

The women next to me was doing some Bible study from the book of Ezekiel. Meanwhile I was reading my erotic romance book.

Finally in San Francisco on the Air Train heading to pick up the rental car.

WHAT!!!!! No Jeeps.
