Bridges

The closure of the Golden Gate Bridge the weekend we were in San Francisco gave us an opportunity to drive across the many other bridges around the beautiful city.

The sunsets crossing the bridges were amazing to see. I can't even begin to explain how different the sunsets looked compared to back home. Maybe it was because we were on vacation, or maybe it is just because it's California. The sunsets were just like the quiet we heard in Northern California on the beach and in the woods, even in the middle of the city, a peaceful quiet among the city life. Words can't even begin to describe the quiet and the beauty,  you have to experience it for yourself.

Three of my biggest fears are bridges, water and heights so crossing the bridges in the San Francisco Bay area was quite difficult. It helped that I had my camera to focus on.

The double-decker bridge was the most difficult as I kept flashing to the scenes from the Earthquake of 1989.

The Sunsets and Sunrises again were amazing to see. Even the landscape was surreal. The smooth, velvet rolling hills of the valley were so beautiful. I can't wait to go back.
